Bourret Township is a civil township of Gladwin County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 471. The Tittabawassee River runs through the township. The river is dammed at the nearby Secord Dam, providing water frontage for many vacation homes. Wildwood Shores is an unincorporated community within the township. The community is situated where the Tittabawasee crosses Wildwood road and formerly styled itself as a resort community. Along with many vacation homes and perhaps a few permanent residents, there is a convenience store, a fire station, a boat launch, and a small platted neighborhood. An adjacent state campground in the Au Sable State Forest was closed in the early 1990s. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of , of which is land and (1.16%) is water.
